Ghost Rider:Spirit of Venegance Trailer

It looks like Nick Cage wants to be taken seriously again. I know right. Well with the announcement of Ghost Rider 2 the new movie it seemed was going to have the same cheesiness and lame acting again. Butt in this new trailer it seems they are taking a different approach to it. It seems darker, cooler and more action packed. Im willing to give nick another chance seeing he is doing another movie, Trespass, that looks very interesting.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes review

Holy Gosh!!!! This movie was RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!! I was looking forward to it most this summer and it did not disappoint. Not only was it the best movie of the summer for me, it was the best by far. Forget Captain America, Thor, this one tops um hands down. Pretty much if you've seen the trailer you know the plot of the movie. So watch it and then go see this movie! I was very surprised about pretty much everything. I was just expecting a standard flick butt i got way more! I found myself caring more about the CGI characters than the actual humans. I really don't want to give anything away butt stay a bit after the credits and all your answers, and wildest dreams, will come. It was a fantastic origin story and it did the original Planet of the Apes justice.There are parts in this movie where I honestly asked myself if i was looking at a real monkey or a CGI one. The effects are award winning. WETA has proved that they are by far the best effects company out there. What I thought was really interesting was the parts where I was sucked in the most was when there was absolutely no duologue at all. Just goes to show you silence is golden. You know its a good movie when time is not an issue. Like for Cowboys and Aliens I was waiting for it to end butt this one I wanted more. I wanted to see like 20 or 30 minuets more. It also had a couple tributes to the originals which was surprising and awesome. Andy Serkis is absolutely amazing a Caesar. Caesar is the brains of the organization. He is a master of planing and pure awesomeness. What else I liked about him is he felt like a real person like you can attach yourself to him the most. Im still geeking out about it. Imma see this next week again!

Catwoman and The Batpod

Here's a first look at Catwoman on the Batpod...yeah I dont know. Personally I dont like it, butt I trust Chistopher Nolan so hopefully he knows what he's doing. ugh

Man of Steel

Here's a brand new photo of the new Superman! I'm not a big fan of superman ecspecally since that last turd Superman Returns. Butt this one looks promising. Henry Cavill is playing Superman and he defiantly looks the part. I'm pretty excited for a new take on this.

In Time

So in Cowboys and Aliens I saw this preview for In Time. I've never seen Justin Timberlake acting because I've never seen and movies with him. This movie actually looks really good. I defiantly want to see it because it looks like an original idea for once. So basically in the future you stop aging at 25 and you time is the equivalent of money. people care more about time then money because its your life on the line. So when a man in a bar gives Timberlake hundreds of years the corrupt police look for him. I'm just exited about it because I've never seen anything like this. I cant wait to see it. Cowboys and Aliens (spoilers!)

I have to be honest. I did not like this movie as much as I thought I would. My friend, yes I have one, was like "See this movie its so good." so last night I did. It started out Daniel Craig is in the middle of nowhere and hes got this fancy pants braclet on. Then he goes into town where hes a wanted man. I dont want to explain the whole story because honestly I dont remeber all of it. Anysways aliens come down and they fight. There was so much to poke at when I left the theaters. I think it would have made a great western movie. The hand to hand combat was amazing. And it would have made an ok alien movie. I think combining them like this was a good idea butt it could have been executed a bit better. The main character Jake Lonergan is set up to be mysterious and not knowing what is going on. This I had a problem with because in a main character we want to care about him and we cant if we don't even know who he is. Harrison ford played a good old mean guy, butt I feel like he could have had more depth in his character. Sam Rockwell is a fantastic actor. Every time I see him I think of this. His talents I feel are wasted because he plays this bartender who doesn't get any respect and cant shoot a gun. Olivia Wilde was in here looking as hot as ever. She was an alien and I actually did not see that coming. She dies in the middle and I thought to myself there were more scenes with her in the trailer. Then I caught on that she wasn't a human and some bull crap was going to happen to make her come back to life. Now the aliens came to earth to...take gold. I'm not kidding. I think all alien movies have this problem where they have this invasion and then they don't know what they want to do about it. Why cant the just be like vikings and just slaughter all of humanity. Probably by now you think I hated this movie butt I didn't. Now don't you sit there and think I liked it either. For me it was a meh movie. It was ok. If you want to see good action, Harrison Ford wearing a cowboy hat, Olivia Wilde, and some pretty cool aliens then see it. Butt don't really expect a story line. I guess for me I thought it wasn't as formulaic as other movies. It seemed to just all be happening with no real point. It started off slow butt the end action scenes were great. Check your brain and dignity and see it if you want.

The Amazing Spiderman (My Thoughts)

Now I am completely opposed to a reboot of this series. I loved the first 2 spiderman movies. I thought they were fine. Now a days they do seem a bit outdated, and I could understand wanting to update it, butt come on. Lets talk about the suit. I do not like it. I think the other suit was fine and looked cool. This one seems cheap and kinda just dumb. What I do like about it is you can see his web shooters and it seems like it is going to stay true to the comics. In the trailer it shows Peters parents and how they have to go, which I think is cool because in the other movies you never get to know whats going on. In the comics his parents are a part of SHIELD and in this they might be going to do that. Butt then we all know spiderman will not be in The Avengers so... anysways. I have mixed feelings about this film. escpeccally when they release on set photos like these.

The Hobbit

I have been waiting for this movie for a freaking long time! At the begging of production there was some confusion on who would be directing this. It was said to be Guillermo del Toro, who directed Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth etc. Honestly if they would have stuck with that it would have been so horrible. Butt I'm so thankful Peter Jackson is back to direct these movies. Obviously this picture is of the dwarves. The ones that look the coolest to me are Gloin, the one that looks most like Gimli and Oin, the one on the left of the fatest lard. This movie looks ....good.

This movie looks so cool it could turn a gay man straight. I wasnt a big fan of the crotch stain 2001 version of the movie, butt this movie looks incredible! I cant wait to see it! Here is the trailer!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

This movie = Awesome! I am a fan of the books and holy crap. This movie was down right good. The premise of this movie is Harry, Ron and Hotness are still finding horcruxes and trying to destroy voldemort once and for all!I know I'm a nerd. So the three of them embark on what seems to be this impossible, and no I don't mean ghost protocol, mission. 90% of this movie was pretty much like I imagined when I read the book. The acting was way better this time around. Its nice to see Emma and Rupert develop as great actors over the course of these movies. What can I say. It was really good. Remember that one part in The Order of the Phoenix where Voldemort and Dumbledore duel, This movie has like 12 of those awesomeness fights. It was a great topper to a ridiculously long franchise.

Transformers The Dark of the Moon

What can I say about this movie that has already not been said. I thought it was alright. I respect Michael Bay as a director, but I don't think he did these movies justice. I loved the first Transformers. For me it had all the things I love, great action, good story, etc. The thing that did it for me in the first one was it felt real like I could relate to whats going on and I could believe it. This movie seemed so far fetched, I know its just a movie, but I would like to feel some sort or realism. I didn't care much for the Carley character all she was there for was sex appeal but it sells so. I also didn't care for about the first 50 minutes of this movie. There were so many side characters that were completely unnecessary. John Turturro, Ken Jeong, John Malkovich just to name a few wasted actors. I love John Malkovich, but he is so useless in this. Now I did not hate this movie I'm just picking at the things I personally did not like. The action scenes were great. The thing about the action was it wasn't memorable for me. In T1 the action segment that blew me away was when they blew up the bus on the highway. In T2 the forest scene. But in this there was nothing really there for me to remember. I don't really know who the director was trying to target with these movies. The old school fans of Transformers will probably not like these movies because they do stray from the original tone and atmosphere of the cartoons. And I don't know if this is supposed to be a kids movie because of the little transformers. There are plenty of things to find negative but it was okay.

Capitan America

Captain America is a great summer movie. I wished it would have come out sooner, but I think the release date was just fine. I liked it better than Thor and it seems like a great set up for The Avengers. It wasn't a perfect movie it had its flaws, but its freaking awesome action scenes and rich characters made up for the somewhat flat dialogue. There were parts where I was pretty impressed and the parts that lacked for me were very small. It seemed like it was a bit slow starting off, but when it got going I was hooked. Overall it was a good summer movie and I can't wait for The Avengers.
